The mini version of the Penn Carryall came about when customers would request the backpack and organizational features of the Penn Carryall - just much smaller.
I began designing the Penn Carryall when I was pregnant with my first son, Penn. I began asking every mom I knew (or happened to bump into) what they loved and most importantly didn’t love about their current baby bag. The two things I heard over and over again were, that they didn’t like the look of their baby bag, they felt that it was the best they could find. Secondly, many of the moms found that they eventually switched to a backpack so they could be handsfree. This advice was the foundation for the Penn Carryall design, seamlessly transitioning from a backpack, to a crossbody, to an over the shoulder bag. It is designed to be functional and keep your items organized and accessible when used as a baby bag. Once you find that you no longer need a baby bag, it makes a beautiful handbag that can be used for work or travel.
